ULTIMATE Durian ice cream

Durian is a tropical fruit, particularly in Malaysia & Indonesia . It's famous by its large size and spiky, hard outer shell. It has a delicious (but for some people, its pungent and disgusting) custard-like flesh with large seeds. Durian is known as the ''King of Fruits''.

Recipe


Makes about a small tub (roughly about 600ml)

◢Best preserve within a week


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Heavy cream/ double cream/ whipping cream(fats 35%)

  • 1 cup Durian flesh

  • ⅔ cup Condense milk

  • ½ tsp Vanilla extract/essence


Preparation:

  1. Whip up the cream until stiff peaks (scrape the sides of the bowl, while whipping the cream)

  2. Add in the vanilla extract, condense milk and the durian into the cream

  3. Whip for few seconds to incorporate them

  4. Fold in using a spatula o with an electric mixer until combine.

  5. Lastly, pour the mixture into a loaf pan or an airtight container (I prefer loaf pan).

  6. *important: Cover with a cling film (if u use an airtight container cover with the cover)

Freezing time :

2 hours ➜ Soft serve ice cream

4-5 hours ➜ Normal serving

*if you freeze even longer, thaw for 5-10min before serving.
